Compression packing cubes, worked for 7 days in mild climate

This was my first time traveling using packing cubes for a trip. This set was very versatile, in regards to the sizing of each cube. I do feel like to get the full value of the compression, I would've needed to pack them with less clothing. I also think they may work with specific fabrics better. Ultimately, these were very good at keeping my suitcase organized and saving space. I would use them again and recommend them (but again, I think they probably work better with lighter fabrics or smaller items). You may need additional options when dealing with winter coats. For lightweight jackets and jeans, these cubes were great. This set worked for me for a 7 day trip where I did not overpack and the weather was mild.

Just use them as regular packing cubes and you'll be happy

I waited before jumping on the "compression" packing cube trend because I suspected that all it does is squash down the sides of the cube but doesn't really save any space. My suspicion was correct. I packed the largest cube to the top with clothing but couldn't even get the compression zipper to go a half inch. I continued to remove clothing until finally (with MUCH effort) I could zip the cube on all four sides. The end result: my clothes got squished to the center of the cube and the edges of the cube are sloped outward (see picture). I then filled the cube half full and it compressed down to half the cubes height (no surprise there) and the edged sloped down. With that said, highly compressible clothing, will likely work better than the pants and shirts I packed, but highly compressible items can be over-stuffed into a regular (and less expensive) packing cube and compressed by hand when zipping it up. With all that said, I'm giving this product a four-star not for its space saving capability, but for its quality. The material is heavier and better quality than the rather flimsy non-compression packing cubes I own. And the see-through mesh on one side allows me to see what's packed.

Very nice packing cubes

My wife and I travel frequently and we have found travel cubes to be a big help with clothing organization. I ordered these because I have found the compression style of packing cubes to be especially helpful with maximizing storage space. These bags are attractive, are nicely stitched, and have strong zippers. My wife liked them enough that she took possession of the whole set.

Well, I didn't intend the video review to be quite so long (5 minutes), so here are the highlights:- beautiful packaging (quality box and an inner protective bag) that speaks to high quality- lovely color (I got the pink - it's a lovely blush color)- smooth zippers- nice variety of sizing to pack all your things neatly in your travel bag (4 different sized bags)- breathable mesh window to allow for air circulation and minimize trapping moisture (and odor on the return trip)AND... I just realized that the second zipper is designed for "compression". After you pack the packing cube with your clothes, you can press down and use the second zipper to compress the container down so more can fit in the suitcase - brilliant!!
